Paul Sawyer, based in Winchester, made his debut in the Mini Challenge Clubsport series for the 2024 season, racing his R53 Cooper S sponsored by Silverlake Auto Recycling, Edmundson Electrical Ltd, Baudelaire Ltd, and Krafted Music Ltd. He had an impressive first year, finishing 5th overall, which far exceeded his expectations. Paul is now determined to improve his overall position in 2025, with additional sponsors supporting his campaign.

Paul’s music career began in the early 1990s, when he spent a season at Eden Nightclub in Ibiza (then known as the Star Club). There, he performed every night alongside a host of prominent DJs from that era, including Carl Cox, who was a weekly resident. Paul also warmed up for The Prodigy and played one-off sets at renowned venues like Space and Es Paradis.

Upon returning to the UK, Paul joined Menage a Trois and launched the legendary boat parties that established the South Coast as a vibrant clubbing destination. During this time, Sasha & John Digweed played for free to promote their Northern Exposure album in 1996.

Paul ran the Menage a Trois brand for 10 years before pursuing a solo career. In 2013, he founded Krafted Underground, focusing on releasing progressive house and melodic techno. The label celebrated its 300th release in 2022, featuring many big names in the progressive genre and achieving over 7 million streams on Spotify, alongside 114 Beatport chart positions since its inception.

From February 2021, Paul brought his Krafted brand to BBC Radio 1 where they enjoyed a residency on the Worlds’ leading Radio Station until the end of 2023. His connection with the BBC continued when his release "Waiting All My Life," featuring Ana Be and released on Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto Records, was highlighted on BBC Music Introducing eight times during the summer of 2021. Many of his tracks have become regular features on the show.

Having toured the world for several years, Paul has performed at key events such as Ministry of Sound, Egg London, Cream, Renaissance, Bestival, Bedrock, Airpusher (USA), and B’estfest, earning recognition from Mixmag as "a DJ to look out for" and being listed as one of the UK’s top residents by DJ Magazine.

Some of his notable remixes include reworks of the 90s hits "Perfect Motion" by Sunscreen and "Dreams" by Quench, both of which are among his all-time favorites. He has also remixed "I Want You Here" featuring Thea Riley by Solarstone on his Pure Trance label and Lostly’s "Forever" featuring Katherine Amy. He capped off 2021 with a remix for Wally Lopez, marking ten years since the original release of "Power To You" on La Factoria.

Paul’s bootleg of "Need to Feel Loved" by Reflect gained over 1 million streams and 100,000 downloads in 2021, receiving support from notable artists such as Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Solarstone, and Gabriel & Dresden.
In 2023, Paul celebrated 30 years of DJing with a 30-track album and a 30-hour radio show on DI.FM, inviting numerous DJ friends to join him, including Kristina Sky, Paul Oakenfold, Solarstone, Anthony Pappa, Dave Seaman, Just Her, and Wally Lopez.

To commemorate 75 years of Porsche, Paul was invited to DJ at the Porsche Centre Portsmouth in the summer of 2023, performing alongside his Krafted partner Simon Sinfield for over 300 guests at the centre and streaming a live set online.
Paul has been featured in various worldwide publications including Mixmag, DJ Magazine, DMC World Magazine, Data Transmission, and Decoded Magazine. He was also highlighted in Porsche Post in April 2023 and in Motorsport News in June, July, and October 2024.

Paul celebrated 10 years of his Krafted brand in 2024 with a 10-track album featuring music from Wally Lopez, Allies For Everyone, Moshic, Robert Babicz, and more. 

It’s clear that Paul has a deep passion for both music and cars, both of which have been significant aspects of his life. Entering the Mini Challenge Clubsport series fulfills his lifelong dream of racing cars in this highly competitive environment.
